Swedish Jordanian Chemicals Company conducted a practical workshop on fire safety procedures and emergency evacuation to enhance employee readiness, protect lives and property, and ensure adherence to the highest safety standards.
Following a reevaluation of our company’s emergency evacuation plan—which includes conducting training courses and practical exercises to strengthen general safety procedures and identify any weaknesses—a practical fire drill was conducted with the participation of all SJCC employees.

The exercise aimed to ensure staff readiness for any type of fire, familiarize them with different fire classes, the appropriate type of fire extinguisher for each case, and the locations of extinguishers and alarm devices throughout the company. It also included training on rapid evacuation, identifying emergency exits, assembly points, and recognizing the alarm sound while responding according to each employee’s assigned role in the evacuation plan.
All fire extinguishers were inspected to ensure the safety of the powder or CO₂ content, the integrity of pressure gauges, safety pins, hoses, and to check for any rust. The effectiveness and safety of the water hose stations were also verified.

Additionally, the drill addressed fire causes and prevention measures, highlighting the importance of cleanliness and organization, isolating and securely storing materials, continuous site inspections, regular maintenance of equipment and electrical machinery, and monitoring all flammable materials.
These measures are designed to protect lives and property while ensuring business continuity, demonstrating SJCC’s commitment to the highest standards of occupational health and safety.
