About Us
Swedish Jordanian Chemicals Co. Pvt. Ltd.
The Swedish Jordanian Chemicals Company history
The Swedish Jordanian Chemicals Shareholding Company was established in 2016 and is the first factory producing Ferric Chloride in Jordan. The plant is located in KHBTDA, Mafraq, and has a capacity of 30 000 tons/year.
It was founded by Mr Lars Rennerfelt, who has long experience of building Ferric Chloride plants and selling water treatment chemicals in Europe and in the Middle East. The decision to establish a factory in Jordan was built on the ambition in Jordan and the Middle East to increase the water treatment sector and to upgrade the current water treatment plants.
Totally five plants for Ferric Chloride production have been built by Mr Lars in Scandinavia and Europe, the first one in operation in 1972. The plants have operated for many years and are still active. Sidra Wasserchemie GmbH, producing Ferric Chloride for Germany and the BeNeLux countries with a total capacity of 250 000 tons/year is still in the family ownership.
Word from the owners
Water is a scarce and valuable asset.
Swedish Jordanian Chemicals Shareholding Company was established in 2016 in Mafraq, Jordan by my father, Mr Lars Rennerfelt, with that in mind, we produce and sell Ferric Chloride as well as other water treatment chemicals for Jordan and the Middle East area. Our Company’s mission is to be a reliable part of the water and wastewater sector. We want to contribute with our product and our experience to support efficient water and wastewater treatment.
Clean and safe water should be accessible for all.
We want to contribute to the society and support a sustainable water handling, both in municipal water and wastewater treatment and private industries. We recognize the need to re-use water by irrigation, especially in areas where water is scarce.
The company history goes back to 1972, when the first ferric chloride plant was established in Sweden by Mr Lars. Ever since then, producing and selling water treatment chemicals has been the core business for Mr Lars.
In 1981, the business was established in Germany, where it is operating still today.
Swedish Jordanian Chemicals Shareholding Company is proudly taking this long knowledge to Jordan and the Middle East and seeks to be a vital part of the important and continuously developing water area in the region.
